Cold Box of Wison Phase Ⅱ Syngas Project Now in Place, Ready for Start-up

Release time:2009-08-11

After more than one year's construction, installation of main equipment of the Wison phase Ⅱ syngas project of the coal chemical industry in Nanjing has come into the home straight. On August 10, the successful lifting and installation of cold box, one of the important cryogenic separation units, marks the project is about to complete.

Upon completion of such preparation work as safety technical briefing, crane moving to the site, assembling, positioning, sling installation and trail lifting, the cold box body lifting was started at 11 o'clock on August 10. Under joint efforts of technicians from both parties, the 160 tons cold box was successfully lifted and installed in half an hour. With a view to ensure the phase Ⅱ project start-up and charge schedule, Wison has speeded up and completed the lifting and installation of cold box 5 days in advance under the precondition to ensure the project quality, which means indoor construction of the phase Ⅱ syngas project has been completed and one important step has been made forward to the start-up and production.

The Wison phase Ⅱ syngas project in Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park was fully started in August 2007, which will supply such products as carbon monoxide, hydrogen, syngas, etc after its start-up. The widely used clean coal technology in the current world is adopted in this project---GE coal water slurry gasification technology and Linde low temperature methanol scrubbing purification technology, which is extremely environmental-friendly.
